I would like to introduce you to my friend flickr.com/SuffolkBikes. Here you will find an inventory of everything bicycle facility at Suffolk University. There are two different photosets, one of the dorm facilities, and one of the racks provided by Suffolk University. The first link is a constantly updating overview of the inventory conducted by SuffolkBikes this summer. After meeting with the facilities Sustainability department, a representative of Suffolk University Police, with City of Boston Bike Coordinator Nicole Freedman, and Massachusetts Bicycling Coalition member Shane Jordan. The best way to get a real perspective on how to get started we needed to first see what we already had. The data collected is very fun to poke through. The entire inventory (constantly being updated) can be found here:

Hello, My name is SuffolkBikes and I am an in-the-works organization to promote and enhance the bicycling experience at Suffolk University. Located on Beacon Hill (sweet) our community has been jackson pollack’d all over the metro boston area. Allston, Mission Hill, Cambridge, and with professors and faculty spread even further. In a time where campus sustainability is a trend all over the country SuffolkBikes would like to help Suffolk become a leader in the transportation scene. Suffolk is a commuter school, part of its appeal. The parts of Boston you will live in and spend time in will create a very productive and enlightening experience for you. We are here to let you know, they will be even better on a bike.

This site will serve as a blog where the updates of the organization can be posted and shared rapidly and on an informal basis. I want to use this as a forum to let ideas percolate, and to network with other bicycling communities in Boston. If you think you can benefit from what SuffolkBikes has to offer please feel free to contact us at:
