Suffolk Bikes

bikes

Here is a collection of bikes that we built/recycled/reconditioned during the 08-09 school year.  We acquired these bikes in a variety of ways and they came in a variety of conditions.

Schwinn Traveler Single-Speed Conversion

This bike was abandoned on-campus for two years and reclaimed by the Campus Police.  The bike was delivered to us by Lt.Ramon Nunez of the SUPD as a rusty multi gear clunker with only one pedal.  The re-condition job was completed by Bianca Gregory and Jason of SuffolkBikes with parts purchased from Simple Living Cycles in Framingham, SomaFab.com, Cambridge Bikes, and Landry’s in Allston.

Fuji Monterey Single-Speed Conversion

This bike was purchased in a non-usable state from a Londonderry, NH flea market for $5.  It was converted into a single-speed with help and parts from The Bike Stop in Arlington, Simple Living Cycles, Quad-Bikes in Arlington, and of course Craigslist.

Peugeot Single-Speed Conversion

This bike was built for Kelley Morris by Jason Black- Treasurer of Suffolk Bikes.  Thing is sweet. It was built at The Bike Stop in Arlington.  Go there. Tell them Suffolk Bikes sent you.
